Lynette Wells Malles
Lynette is the daughter of artist Elsie Wells and was born and continues to live in Minnesota. She studied under Katherine Nash and received her BA from the University of Minnesota in 1962. She went on to study sculpture at Yale University and received BFA and MFA in 1967.
During the Female Liberation movement of the 1970s, Lynette created sculptures, working in steel, concrete, and bronze, and she showed her work mostly at women's art exhibitions.
Lynette continued to share her enthusiasm for art by becoming a K-12 art teacher and today she continues that endeavor by doing some reserve teaching.
