Mathias Wolden (1880 - 1967)

Mathias Wolden was born in 1880 and lived the majority of his life in Duluth, Minnesota. Wolden was heavily influenced by the artist Knute Heldner. He has a similar palette and style and like Heldner, spent time in New Orleans. Mathias Wolden is known for his Impressionistic landscape paintings of the Duluth area.
