Star Wallowing Bull

Star Wallowing Bull was born in 1973 and raised in the Twin Cities. An Ojibwe-Arapaho, he is a member of the White Earth Nation in Minnesota and has lived in the Fargo-Moorhead, Minnesota area since 2001.

 

He has received numerous awards including the 2010 Bush Foundation Artist Fellowship. His work is currently featured in the magazine First American Art and included in the exhibition WE THE PEOPLE organized by the Minnesota Museum of American Art.

 

His work can be found in the collections of the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art, Overland Park KS, Tweed Museum of Art, Duluth, the Plains Art Museum, Fargo, The British Museum, London, and the Weisman Art Museum, Minneapolis among others. His work is in the private collections of Winona LaDuke, White Earth MN, Jay C. Krabbenhoft, Fargo, Juane Quick-to-See Smith, Corrales NM, Mason Riddle, Saint Paul, and Thomas Arneson, Minneapolis among many others.
